Completed MTH RailKing 60' Streamlined Passenger Car

This time I tired a MTH Universal LED installation.  This car used three (3) Christmas-tree style bulbs so I replaced them with 3 Universal LEDs.

In this case it was necessary to cut the wires and remove the bulbs and sockets but I did it in such a way that I can reattach them if I so desire.  The Universal LED pc boards fit perfectly in the brackets that were already there, all I did was "tack" the LEDs in to place with hot glue.

Here's what the stock incandescent bulbs (illuminated on the left, close-up on the right) looked like originally:

And the same C&O car with three LEDs, illuminated on the left and close-up on the right:

And here with the top replaced, three LEDs installed and turn on in this case at 19V.  The three LEDs are definitely brighter than two and a comparison of input voltage of 8V vs. 19V is noticeable - but still very nice.  Also note how "white" or clear the light is vs. an incandescent.
