TSLI-2 Track Switch Logic Interface
Use this multi purpose board to control Tortoise ©
switch machines with Mike's Train House DCS™ Accessory Interface Unit (AIU),
or use to communicate switch position logic to a Control Panel.
The new TLSI-2 version can be powered by available 12-16VAC rather than a
separate DC voltage source.
Tortoise switch machines are preferred by model railroaders who desire a
more prototypical, slow moving turnout action. The DCS™ accessory interface
unit (AIU) switch output has momentary contacts, so it is necessary to use a device like our TLSI-2 along with Mike's AIU to operate Tortoise switch machines. The basic
function of the TSLI-2 is to supply constant (as opposed to momentary) contact
closure which is require for the Tortoise Unit to operate.
Yet another application of the TSLI-2 is for use to communicate
the turnout's
position logic to a control panel, more specifically to a Track Plan Control
Panel indicator LED. You can do this and control a Tortoise
switch machine. The TSLI-2 is designed
to operate with either 2 wire or 3 wire, 2 color bi-polar LEDs.
The TSLI-2 includes a bridge rectifier so you can power it with either AC or DC
, a Bi-polar red/greed LED to indicate switch position (straight or diverted),
large screw terminals for easy hook up and an assortment of wiring diagram
connection options and suggestions.
Also use the TSLI-2 to control Bowser turntable / Dallee indexer combinations
with you DCS AIU system.
Key Benefits
- Use with MTH® DCS™ AIU to interface with Tortoise switch machines
- Communicate Track Switch (turnout) Position Logic to a control
panel (also communicate correct switch position when used with switches
that have non-derailing feature)
- Use to control Bowser turntable / Dallee
indexer with DCS AIU.
- Use communication feature with any major brand switch machine
- 12V AC or DC
- Includes Bi-Polar red/green LED on board for activation reference
- Large screw terminals
- Comprehensive wiring diagram connection options
- Use TWO for Track Plan Control Panel indication with Ross 3-way
Switch
- Replaceable PLUG IN Latching Relay
- Can use TSLI2 along with MTR12T to control higher voltage AC or DC
applications

TBSCC - Track Block Signal Control
Circuit
This handy multi function interface includes a double pole, double
throw relay to control new MTH® or Lionel® style "O" scale signals and
communicate track occupied signal to a Track Plan.
This circuit will allow a two (or more) track mainline to operate in
FULL DUPLEX MODE (i.e. operate crossing signals and/or gate
from either track from either direction AND
operate train signals correctly from BOTH tracks from either direction).
Can be slightly modified to operate a Bi-Polar LED at the top of a
Turntable Bridge from TRACK POWER. No other Bridge wiring
needed. The PCB's are small enough to fit under and inside the Bower
Turntable Bridge. (Simple detailed modifications supplied upon
request.)
Key Benefits
- Control "O" Scale signals
- Communicate : Track Switch position to a Track Control Panel
-
: Track Location signal to a Track Control Panel
-
: Track Occupied signal to a Track Plan Control Panel
- Multi-Voltage: 5VDC, 12VDC, 12VAC, 14VAC, 18-20VAC
- Includes LED "On" indicator
- Large screw terminals
