AnnouncementsNovember 1, 2012 Important Announcement! I’m happy to announce that Scott’s Odds-n-Ends, Inc. is now part of Train Electrics, LLC. The new owners will be operating out of Travers City, MI and offering the same products and support you’re familiar with as well as bringing back some pervious items and adding new products, too. I have enjoyed very much participating in this wonderful hobby and working with many terrific people, but feel the Train Electrics will have the time, energy and inspiration to take it to the next level. January 3, 2013 Update: Train Electric LLC / Scott's Odds-n-Ends has been shipping consistently for at least a month, now. "Add to Cart" buttons now redirect to Train Electric's website for order placement. It's all coming together! Thanks for your terrific support! Scott / Scott’s Odds-n-Ends, Inc.
December 11, 2012 - Updated the phone number and address to reflect that of the new company, Train Electrics, Inc.
November 2011 - We have discontinued the rest of our incandescent lamps (except Magic Lamps, of course!). We still have some inventory so I plan to send out a broadcast email from time to time to see if there is some interest on select variations. July 2011 By popular demand (thank you!) we have brought back the Magic Lamp! The cool, simple product improves DCS signal strength by adding inductance to the circuit. And it's back! Also unfortunately we had to increase prices on our Circuit Breaker Line. We weren't paying attention to price increases to us and discovered - hey, we're not making any money on circuit breakers anymore! So we had to go up. Lastly, we have sold out of all our hook-up wire, including the two conductor and multi conductor products.
September '09 - Time Delay Module update - uploaded a picture o the prototype (just the insides, though). Really cool. January 3, 09 - Happy New Year! We've added some application pictures and descriptions using our LED-CLD current limiting device with our A/C Ready LEDs and standard LEDs (i.e. for passenger car applications). Click Here. Please look us up if you're going to be there. Also, we updated the web price sheet. August '08 - Eureka! Now you can use LEDs in MTH Premier passenger cars! See installation instructions HERE. Application example: Lionel Bumpers with red LED. January '08 - Happy New Year! Added pictures of Warm Whites, Wiring Diagrams for TVS-4 surge suppresser and improved Warranty on TVS-4 to 1 Year(!). October '07 - Introducing Warm White LEDs. Go to: May '07 - Because of the recent changes in postal rates specifically in regards to rates being determine by package size as well as weight, it was necessary to increase our shipping and handling charges. Note this is the first increase in s&h since we started business in 2001. Our intent is not to make money of s&h, just to break even. Also, as everyone is probably aware, the pricing and availability of metals in a world market is very volatile these days. Specifically in regards to copper, we’ve absorbed several increase to date on wire. Note we had to raise our wire prices and we probably will see more changes in the not too distant future. March '07 - New Product Introduction: TVS-4 surge suppressor. Our surge suppressor line has been updated from DTKs to the TVS series. Official announcement 3/9/07 and product is planned to be available by 3/31 - and available for sale at the spring York show.
